portocard.net is a multilingual information and purchase site for the Porto Card. The Porto Card is the official tourist card for Porto. It is issued by Visit Porto, the region's official tourism organisation. The card combines free entry to a set of museums with discounted admission to further museums and monuments, and it comes with validities from 1 to 4 days.

In early July 2026 Visit Porto withdrew the card from sale and is restructuring the product; a new sales date has not been announced, and the card's own page at the issuer now redirects to the Visit Porto homepage. The details stay on this site because the reckoning will be the same the moment the card returns: does free entry at a handful of museums, together with reduced admission at further houses, carry a stay of one to four days? One Porto quirk gets missed regularly: bus and metro are not part of the card, for those you need a separate Andante ticket. We record what the card covers, how to arrange local transport alongside it, and how the sales status develops.

What this site is not

portocard.net is an independent guide. We are not the official website of Visit Porto; the issuer's own site is visitporto.travel. We are not a hotel or general travel portal, and we deliberately leave out hotel booking, a general Porto travel guide, restaurant recommendations and tours without a card connection. We do not sell the card ourselves: bookings are completed with our partner Tiqets, and their current prices, availability and terms apply.
