What is the Porto Card?+
The Porto Card is Porto's official tourist card: free entry to 5 museums and 50% off at 12 museums and monuments, plus discounts on tours, restaurants and shops. Available for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days.
How much does the Porto Card cost?+
The Porto Card is available for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. The current price for each duration is shown live in the booking widget on the prices page - always up to date and in your currency.
Are there children''s prices?+
No. There are no reduced rates for children. Every person, including children, requires their own card at full price.
How do I receive the Porto Card after purchase?+
After purchase you receive a voucher by e-mail, immediately after confirmation. You exchange this on arrival for the physical Porto Card.
Validity & Use
When does validity start?+
The card is valid for 24, 48, 72 or 96 hours, depending on the duration chosen. The time starts from first use. Example: if you first use a 48-hour card on Monday at 10:00, it is valid until Wednesday at 10:00.
Where do I redeem my voucher?+
After purchase you receive a voucher by e-mail. You exchange this on arrival for the physical Porto Card. Official exchange points: Porto Airport (Tourist Shop, level 0) and the Porto Se Tourism Office opposite the cathedral.
Is the Porto Card transferable?+
No. The card is personalised and non-transferable. Each traveller needs their own card. Each benefit can be used once per card.
Do I need to book attractions in advance?+
Generally no. Reservations are usually not required for museums. For guided tours, boat trips or port wine cellars with limited capacity, advance booking is advisable. The card does not allow you to skip queues.
Public Transport
Is public transport included?+
No. This card covers entries and discounts, but not public transport. Tickets for the metro and bus (Andante) are purchased separately - for example at the Andante Shop at the airport or at Sao Bento station.
How do I get around Porto without the card?+
Separately. An Andante ticket is available at the Andante Shop at Porto Airport, at the Trindade metro station, or at Sao Bento station. It covers the metro, city buses and suburban trains.
Benefits & Attractions
Which museums are free?+
Five museums are free: Casa do Infante, the Porto Wine Museum, the Museu Romantico, the Museu do Papel Moeda and the Reservatorio.
Where do I get discounts?+
50% off at 12 museums, monuments and experiences (such as Torre dos Clerigos, Casa da Musica, port wine tasting), plus up to 20% on tours, up to 15% at restaurants and up to 25% in shops.
Can I visit an attraction more than once?+
Each benefit can be used once per card. You visit each attraction once with the Porto Card.
Cancellation
Can I cancel the Porto Card?+
Cancellation terms depend on the booking channel: through official partners you can generally cancel up to the date of use. The exact deadline is stated on your voucher.
